Welcome to the new home of Continuing Professional Education in Stuttering, including the North American branch of the Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium.

Our mission

Stuttering Specialists Montreal is dedicated to best clinical practice and continuing education in stuttering. Formerly associated with the Montreal Fluency Centre, where Dr. Rosalee C. Shenker was Founder of that non-profit, Stuttering Specialists acts as the North American hub of the Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium and a centre for professional training for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) worldwide. We regularly host continuing education workshops, trainings, webinars and events. Please scroll down for more information about the specific workshops being offered, and details on how to register.

The Lidcombe Program

The Lidcombe Program is a behavioural therapy for children who stutter, developed primarily for ages 3-6 years old. It is a direct treatment administered by a parent in the child’s everyday environment. If you are a speech pathologist and you would like to register for a Lidcombe Program training, keep reading and sign up for our next workshop!
